Who are we?

It all started during the Heatwave of 2024—the sun was blazing, the air was thick, and our workwear? Basically unbreathable. We are Keerthana and Aarthy, two friends from Coimbatore on a mission, sprinting between meetings and iced coffee runs, desperately searching for cotton fits that wouldn’t trap heat like a microwave. But everything we found was either too stiff, too boring, or just didn’t pass the vibe check. So we decided to make our own, and that’s how Shades Of Sky was born. Workwear that breathes, moves, and keeps you cool, literally and aesthetically.

Why the name Shades of sky?

Some names are chosen in a moment. Ours took shape from a feeling.

We chose Shades of Sky because we wanted our clothing to feel the way looking up at the sky does light, calm, effortless, and endlessly beautiful. From the very beginning, we knew our pieces would be made only from cotton and linen. These natural fabrics bring a breezy, breathable comfort that feels clean, earthy, and easy to wear from morning to night.

But the name means more than just comfort. The sky is never one single shade it changes, evolves, and tells a different story every day. Soft at dawn, radiant at noon, warm at sunset, and deep under the moonlight, it reminds us that beauty exists in every phase.

That's exactly how we see women. Gentle yet resilient. Quietly confident yet incredibly strong. Smooth and subtle in presence, but powerful like the sun and graceful like the moon.
